About
My name is Emma Swift and I grew up in the small town of Live Oak in Northern California. I have owned horses my entire life and compete monthly in rodeos throughout the state of California as a member of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. I've also been actively involved in 4-H, FFA, and the California High School Rodeo Association. In addition to these organizations, I have participated in many volunteer activities such as serving lunch at our local homeless shelter, playing music for the residents of nursing homes in my area, and serving as a leader in our church youth group. I am currently attending Yuba Community College in Marysville, CA with a goal to pursue a major in Business Administration. Once I finish my General Education and graduate from Yuba College, my plan is to transfer to the University of Colorado at Boulder and complete my major studies.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My plan is to complete two years of General Education at Yuba College then transfer to the University of Colorado at Boulder to study Business Administration. My career goals are varied so I feel that majoring in Business will be to my advantage.
- Graduate school interests
I am interested attending Graduate School to receive my MBA but would need financial aid in order to achieve this goal.
- Outside the classroom
I have many hobbies, especially outdoor activities. One of my hobbies is competing in College Rodeo. I am a member of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. I spent 7 years competing at the Jr. High and High School level as a member of California High School Rodeo. Keeping my horses in shape and practicing my events is a daily routine. It is a passion I've had since I was young. Another hobby of mine is skiing. My dad, sister and I have made countless trips to Lake Tahoe to get our fill of snow and family fun. My goal is to eventually be experienced enough to ski Mount Bachelor in Oregon. Finally, I enjoy playing guitar and old Time Fiddle when I have time.
