About
My valuable life journey to the doorsteps of the University of the Incarnate Word and now to the University of Texas San Antonio admission office wasn't necessarily typical for an older adult with a dream. However my exceptional persona and disposition are inimitable as now a future UTSA student and model citizen of San Antonio. To know the potential of any person is to know their spirit and motivations. Appropriately, the UTSA Roadrunner mascot captures the essence of my spirit and passion: a renewed vitality recognizing my own personal power in order to manifest my dreams and goals in life. At every level of life, I transformed myself. Whether it was
getting myself in shape, becoming a top personal trainer, or reaching my aspiration of playing college football at UIW despite being previously rejected and being selected at 27 years old, I have demonstrated true leadership and inspiration.

- Outside the classroom
I am a unusual guy in my 30s still chasing dreams. I frequently rise before sunrise to remain a competitive athlete, visit with diverse groups as a motivational speaker, take care of my two young sons, and spearheads an emerging non-profit on a shoe-string. When I deliver each pair of shoes it also reminds me that they're not alone in their challenging journey. Helping others is my passion.
