About
My name is Eric Marshall, and I come from a small town just outside of Cincinnati called, "Reading," and went to a public school that had a graduating class of only 50 (we started at 100, but many dropped out and others didn't actually graduate along with my class). I am an only child and while my mother and father did go to college for about a year each, neither of them graduated; making me the first in my immediate family that is going to graduate college. Throughout the entirety of my life, my family and I have lived on the thin line between poverty and lower-middle class. This has been one of the strongest reasons as to why I have viewed college as a necessity, my father constantly regrets not finishing college and giving myself and my mother the comfortable life he wanted to. I want to give my family the comfortable life that they deserve. Ever since I played my very first video game with my mother, I have wanted to create video games for a living. I never really knew how to do so, and I am certainly not artistic, so becoming a programmer was the option that was made for me; being adept in science, mathematics, and problem solving, becoming a computer programmer called to me. The rest is all in the future.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to start my programming career as a software programmer for a local software company of any kind. Once I have professional experience in programming, I want to work for a video game company and make the video games which I have loved my entire life; hopefully working for Ubisoft, Riot, Blizzard, Trion, etc.
- Graduate school interests
I only recently found out that I can actually obtain a Masters in Computer Science & Engineering at The Ohio State University, which I would absolutely love to complete.
