Eric Roncs

After enlisted into the US Marine Corps in January 1995 I found myself among the most respectable men and women I knew to exist. As I progressed through my career I found myself moving forward faster than my experience afforded me education. I moved through the ranks and challenging positions of infantry team leader to infantry platoon sergeant, reconnaissance platoon sergeant, special operations team operations chief to special operations foreign language program management. Each position offered a new dynamic of leadership experience and operational understanding. Upon retirement from active duty in January 2015, am seeking similar progression within the system of higher education. I graduated with Honors from Cape Fear Community College's A.A. program in general studies and am currently a UNCW student and recent Honors College inductee working toward a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing Strategy and minoring in Spanish. Much like my climb for excellence during active duty, I am taking on my workload with the intent of achieving greatness.
