About

I’m a nursing student really interested in neonatal care and passionate about helping babies and their families. I work hard in school, especially in science classes, and I love learning how to provide the best care possible. I’m excited to join this honor society to connect with others who care about nursing and to keep growing both personally and professionally.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My goal is to become a neonatal nurse working in a Level III or Level IV NICU, where I can care for critically ill or premature newborns. I plan to specialize in neonatal intensive care and eventually take on a leadership or advanced practice role, such as becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner. I’m passionate about providing both medical care and emotional support to families during some of their most difficult moments.

Graduate school interests

I'm passionate about neonatal nursing because I’ve always been drawn to caring for infants, both through babysitting and helping raise younger family members. In school, I was especially interested in biology and child development, which deepened my interest in newborn care. Grad school is the next step for me to gain the advanced skills I need to support fragile newborns and their families, and to make a meaningful impact in the NICU.
