About
My interests are simple; I want to enhance my abilities to become a better supervisor for when the opportunity arises. Currently I work as a helicopter mechanic level I, but I want to advance hopefully in next five years and with the Business Management degree, the opportunity should be more appealing to hiring committee. I have been in the Army for over nine years, six of them active duty with three deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan respectively. Three of the years of which I’m currently serving are with the Reserves, of which I have continued learning to be a better leader, but the leadership set before me.
During those nine years, I have received a Nato Medal, Good Conduct Medal, an Army Commendation Medal for service in Iraq, Meritorious Medal two times, President Unit Citation and service coins to commemorate my service to the United States Army. The army has been a milestone in my life for the better part, because traditional it’s in my blood. My grandparents served along with my parents and uncle, and I wanted to continue to serve as my family has done before me. Working on helicopters though was my own choice, I wanted to pick a work trade that would relate to the civilian world and make enough for a descent family living.
The beginning of my life throughout to this day though has been centered around Christ and the church. I am a Christian and love to worship God in whichever way I could possible do so, in which I play alto saxophone for the worship team. After playing for fifteen years, I continue to be amazed that I can still learn things of which I never would have seen in many years. When working on helicopters to playing the saxophone, I have learned that I’m never too old or young to learn and continue learning new trades to craft of which I experience life with.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My goals in life are to be a teacher eventually of sorts. I would like to teach helicopters hopefully, but I have it in my heart to teach math, high school math. I love math and it just seems to come easy to me when I take the courses and I want to instill that ability to understand math to a younger generation that is growing up to take my place. So when my hands become too stiff and numb from the mechanical workings of the helicopters, hopefully I could become a math teacher to broaden the horizons of hopefully one life. I want to leave this earth hopefully having changed one person’s life for the better so that I can make a difference and not a hindrance for humanity.
- Graduate school interests
If pursuing management over the helicopter industry doesn't pan out, I would like to be able to adapt to my math skills. During just my short tenure with education so far, I have an appreciation towards math and numbers. I would like to direct my interests in becoming an CPA, further opening job opportunities for me and my family.
