Honors and awards

  • Rookie of the Year - Broken Arrow Pride Marching Band Flute Section

During my freshman year of the Pride of Broken Arrow Marching Band I was awarded the rookie of the year for the flute section. To achieve this award I had to prove my abilities in my marching and musical abilities.

  • Outstanding leadership - Pride of Broken Arrow

I was awarded the outstanding leadership award for my position as section leader of the flute section during my junior and senior years of high school in the Pride of Broken Arrow Marching Band.

  • Skills USA Historian Officer

I achieved the position of the historian officer in SkillsUSA, an engineering organization during my freshman and sophomore years of high school. My responsibilities included photographing and documenting the events of the club during our competitions.

  • National Technology Honor Society

I participated in technology events such as a 3-D modeling competition and I was also awarded a position on the director's honor roll.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend to get my masters in computer engineering with a possible minor in electrical engineering. My ultimate end goal for a job is undecided at them moment; however, I plan to get my degree at the University of Oklahoma.

Outside the classroom

My hobbies include various crafting events including cross stitching, knitting, crocheting, and sewing, all self-taught. I also build robots, build circuit boards, program computer codes and robots, and 3-D modeling. My most prominent hobby of recent is the participation in the Pride of Broken Arrow Marching Band with 30-40 hours a week of marching. All 300+ members of the organization traveled to many competitions including Georgia, California and Indianapolis, taking home many titles of recognition and achievement, including the 2015 Grand National Championship. Along with the marching band I have also volunteered many times with the National Honor Society throughout my high school career. Events included working with elementary students at STEM nights, fairs for preschoolers, academic tournaments for my high school, and community events.
