About

I am a senior at Drexel University. I have an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts and I am just about to finish up on my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. What a change, I know! I still enjoy to cook, and do whenever I get the chance. When asked why I changed, I fell in love with nursing, all the endless possibilities and chances to expand on my knowledge within the field. I want to, one day, become a professor and pass along all my experiences and knowledge within this field. I want to be apart of the next generation of nurses.
In my spare time I attend the local Episcopal church. I also stay very active with the Philadelphia Women's Rugby Football Club, I have always been involved with team sports and I truly believe it has shaped me into the person I am now. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to surround myself with the rugby community, we do so much as far as community outreach, by teaching younger children about the sport and participating in local fundraising events.
I am very honored to be apart of the Honor Society. I am excited to see what my future holds for me. In the mean time, I plan on staying active with my studies so I can graduate in June.

Goals and interests

Career goal

Upon graduation I want to obtain a nursing job within the Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit. I would also like to have a part time job working on a medical surgical floor so I can expand on my nursing skills in a broader aspect outside of the ED or ICU. Eventually I can see myself specializing within the pediatric population.

Graduate school interests

Once I graduate, I would like to gain experience within the nursing field for a few years. I am very interested in getting my Masters and possibly Doctorate so I can go on to become a professor.

Outside the classroom

Rugby, swimming, working out, music, reading, cooking/experimenting with different foods, baking, catering, catching up on cooking shows, hiking, walking around Philadelphia.
