About
I am a retired school employee. I was an educational diagnostician for 18 years and a bilingual first grade teacher for 7 years. I have been married for 39 years, my husband and I have three beautiful girls my youngest has Down's Syndrome. My youngest child has probably taught me the most important life lessons. It is because of the struggles she has endured that prompted me to pursue a Doctorate at what seemed to be the end of a very fulfilling career. My dream now is to create a program where students who have struggled like my daughter will be able to develop their full potential.

- Outside the classroom
My first love is art, specifically painting, drawing, and actually any media. I love to crochet when I have the time. I am also an avid reader. I have taken up working out at the gym and walking as I find it is important to remain fit and strong as I age. I also love to watch classic movies.
