Esteban Martinez

My name is Esteban Martinez, I am currently studying at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I am a freshmen and just got threw my first semester of college. My major is nursing, with the hopes of becoming a physician assistant. I am the first child in my family to attend college and also do a great deal of traveling as I am a migrant. Since I was young my family and I travel a lot because my father is a truck driver; he participates in the harvesting of crops. The states I have gone to school at are Texas, Washington and North Dakota; however, I have also gone to school in Mexico since I was in kindergarten until I was a senior in high school. My parents are from Mexico and we will spend about 5 months in Mexico then travel to go work. Going to college for me is a privilege because my parents didn't have the chance to attend a university. I want to be a great example for my younger siblings and cousins and let them know that they can do anything if they put their minds to it.
