Eun Joo Tarchala

I am a senior nursing student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I have been studying nursing since 2006 and have one more semester left before getting my degree, Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I will be graduating in December 13, 2015. I come from an international background and I would like to work in the United States.

When I started studying nursing at Morton College in IL my studies have given me a basic foundation, but I feel I need more. The majority of my classes have been prerequisites for my ultimate goal of Nursing. While these classes matter a great deal one class, in particular, outside my basic requirements made a huge impact on me. Basic Nursing Assistants Training (NUR 105) not only helped me understand nursing in relation to myself, my life, and my career. In fact, when I took the CNA class for spring 2009 I wanted to understand what the bottom work was and understand what the nurse assistants really had to do. The reason is that when I become a registered nurse I want to understand the basics of work, practical hands-on training, and do it myself even when it involves discomfort.

Overall, I would like to learn more deeply and have interesting activities. I had successfully completed a State approved CNA Training Program and the State approved CNA Manual Performance Skill Examination at Morton College. Also, I had successfully completed the written examination of the State approved CNA Training Competency Evaluation at Morton College Thursday, June 18, 2009. Moreover, I am a senior nursing student at UAH and will be graduating in December, 2015.
