Texas AgriLife Extension Summer Camp Staff Internship at Texas AgriLife 4-H Conference Center Over the summer of 2022, I took an internship with AgriLife Extension at the Texas 4-H Conference Center in Brownwood, TX where I did a multitude of tasks and wore a variety of "hats" during my time there. The Texas 4-H Camps are hosted every year in Brownwood and are focused on teaching kids about agriculturally related topics, all while having fun. I was a camp counselor and group leader most of the time, staying with a cabin of girls from 3rd to 8th grade 24/7 and ensuring they were properly cared for and were having a good time at camp. I was trained to facilitate different activities such as the rock-wall, a high-ropes course, a low-ropes course, kayaking, fishing, riflery, and much more. I helped a robotics camp, worked with Extension professionals to put on activities, and made sure camp was a positive experience. I learned many things about how to work with kids, especially with large groups, all of which will help me in my future career.

Customer Service Representative
Producers Cooperative Association - currently employed My duties at Producers Coop. as a customer service representative involve working the register, checking people out, stocking the store, answering questions regarding animal health and products available in store, answering questions in regards to fencing, equipment items and gardening topics, and above all ensuring the customer is of upmost priority at all times. I mainly work at the feed counter and routinely answer questions regarding what to feed for various conditions, and compare prices for feedstuffs we have available. Working at Producers has made me very efficient in a fast paced environment, careful to be cognizant of mistakes and fixing them effectively, as well as becoming a confident member of the team that can talk to our customers with knowledge of products and their uses.

Daycare Worker
I worked at Rockin' Baby Ranch Daycare in Bryan, Texas where I cared for infants and toddlers from two to eighteen months of age. I worked with one other employee or owner of the daycare to ensure proper nutrition, sanitation, and a very warm, welcoming learning environment for babies to grow in. This was considered a home daycare and I helped care for anywhere from 10-12 babies at one time.

In the spring of 2022 I participated in Big Event with a few other members of TAMU Saddle & Sirloin. We were assigned a house to do landscaping work at, hopped in a truck, arrived, and got to work. We were assigned the task of clearing out all of the front flowerbeds at on older couple's home whose children had grown up and moved away. We worked on pulling weeds, making new drainage areas, emptying and scrubbing out a fountain, and much more. We went well over the allotted "Big Event" timeframe of four hours, but we wanted to get the job done. It was a very rewarding experience seeing the homeowners happy smiles once we were done.
