About
In January 2014 I began my studies at Hennepin Technical College (HTC) in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. I had recently immigrated there just nine months prior and could not speak a full English conversation fluently, though listening and comprehension were near fluency levels. Since that time, I have become fluent in all aspects of English. While at HTC I enrolled in courses that interested me the most – finance and accounting - which I am now double majoring in.
By January of 2018, I began taking concurrent courses with Metro State University. While attending Metro State I have continued taking challenging courses such as Technical Writing, Investment Portfolio Analysis, and International Comparative Economics while maintaining a 3.4 GPA. I expect to graduate from Metro State in the spring or summer of 2021 as a double major in the Bachelor of Science programs for Accounting and Finance.

In January of 2016, I was accepted into the international honor society of two-year colleges and academic programs, particularly state colleges and community colleges.

In recognition of my academic achievement for spring 2020 semester, I have been placed on the Dean’s List at Metropolitan State University.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
Growing up I had placed a premium on civil service work and was envious of those that were fortunate to find a career there. With this discovery, I set a goal of searching for a career in Government Finance.
- Graduate school interests
Upon completion of my Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance in the Spring or Summer of 2021, I will begin to pursue an MBA at Metropolitan State University of Minnesota.
- Outside the classroom
Traveling, cooking, camping and gardening.
