About

My name is Fernando Conde, and I am an MBA student at Rutgers University. As an immigrant with English as a second language and a first-generation college student, being admitted to the MBA graduate program at Rutgers University is one of the best rewards. I have my Bachelor's in Business Administration from Capella University. I currently work as a Senior Compliance Officer for JPMorgan Chase bank. We operate globally across the firm to advise stakeholders on the impact of regulatory requirements and how to balance these with the firm's needs. Our diverse mandate means we also provide input on new business strategies, product lines, policies, training, operational processes, risk mitigation, and control. Therefore, my MBA program is crucial in providing me with experience and confidence within the corporate business environment.

Graduate school interests

My graduate research focus on business analysis. My research looks for significant relationships in groups of data. With these relationships, answers to the company's problems are found. Data analysis can help the company to optimize the functioning of all sectors. For instance, the sales sector can learn which customers are most likely to close deals. The financial sector, on the other hand, can analyze which investments are most likely to make a profit. Decisions based on data are safer and bring more satisfactory results. In addition, data analysis itself can generate insights that result in improvements in the company.

Outside the classroom

I love outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, or just beeing outdoors. Anything that connects me to nature brings me joy.
