About

I am currently a Sophomore at the Evergreen State College in Washington state. As 35th in a graduating class of about 400 students, I was very dedicated to my schooling. As well as academics, I was highly involved in extra-curricular activities and community volunteering to enrich my time at Yelm High School. Through out my secondary education, I explored and develop who I was as a person.

Now, at Evergreen, I hope to recognize my dream of becoming an art activist and biology teacher to help guide the generations after me into living a fulfilling life they too can be proud of. In the community or in the classroom, I do my best to engage the environment for the benefit of myself and others. As a 20 credit/quarter student, I am engaging in a heavy work load but I'm doing what I love and hope to continue like this for my entire post-secondary education - wherever that may lead me next.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I hope to be a Washington state accredited teacher in biology and art at the high school level.

Graduate school interests

Evergreen has a "Master's in Teaching" program. I am on track to filling out the credit sheets necessary to be both a high school art and biology teacher.

Outside the classroom

I am often found in one of these three places: a committee panel, community service event, or art studio. In the political field, it is my passion to protest, petition, and publically speak for what I believe in. Olympia is very inclusive in it's legislation process and I will do everything I can to better the community I live in nationally and locally. I am proud of my title as LD22 CD10 Precinct 9 Chair 1 for Bernie Sanders.

If not at the legislative level, at least directly through service projects. Sustaining the community is a value within me as well as to enrich it. When I'm not at the Capital Building or with the National Residence Hall Honorary, I can be found in a studio. I like to create pieces that will illicit emotions and incite passion. Though I am well versed in metallurgy and ceramics, I work best with digital and film photography, digital illustration, charcoal, and wood working
