Francine Roach

I am an undergraduate, distance student at Auburn University and I have a unique background. I already earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and an MBA in Business Management, and raised a family! However, when I went back to work about ten years ago, I realized that had I studied accounting and become a professional, I would have better utilized my education and skill set. So I actually applied and was accepted to a nearby state school in New York for a Master's program in Accounting. Unfortunately my soon-to-be ex-husband convinced me that I didn't need to further my education and was unwilling to help pay for additional courses in accounting. Now that I am on my own, I was thrilled to discover the online Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting program offered at Auburn. I'm currently in my first year and love the fact that I can take courses to fit my schedule. I currently work as a bookkeeper in a CPA firm, but I'm excited to be able to transition to a better career soon!
