About
I am a Criminal Justice student at Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX. I am studying criminal justice to further my knowledge of the law and soon become the first lawyer in my family. I grew up in a middle class area of Dallas Texas, where struggling was and still is the norm. As a young man I saw how important it was to gain knowledge and education. Being that a lot of people in my surrounding area was lacking education, I desired to change that for myself. With the help of my parents I enrolled into the prestigious Bishop Dunne Catholic School in the 10th grade to better prepare for college. I appreciate the school and everything it taught me, each day I pursue my degree at Prairie View A&M University. Knowing I would be a first generation college student there was a huge task ahead of me. Especially with very little guidance from my parents and relatives about college, furthering my education would be solely upon myself. During the summer of 2013, I interned with the honorable, State Senator Royce West as a leader in the Dr. Emmett J. Conrad Leadership Program. Since then I've furthered my education into my senior year at Prairie View. Now merely hours away from my bachelors I want to begin preparing for my next step in life, Law School.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am currently studying to become a lawyer. I have gained knowledge on the criminal justice system and how it operates. My next step is getting more hands on experience and digging deeper into the field.
- Graduate school interests
After I complete my undergraduate, I plan to pursue my masters in psychology and then enroll into law school.
- Outside the classroom
I grew up with not too many options so helping others became a hobby early in life. By helping someone else, I also helped myself. Instead of hanging with the wrong crowds and running the streets day in and day out. I enjoyed helping the youth and using my testimony as a stepping stone in every organization I've joined. When I'm not helping others I find time to coach at youth basketball, football, and baseball camps. I also have a huge crush on music and live instruments.
