About

I’m seeking a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies EC-6 with a bilingual supplement. The main reason I have decided to specialize in bilingual education is because I was an English learner myself at some point. I was born in Mexico and started first grade in Houston, TX. Bilingual programs were rare at that time and with parents that did not speak the language those school years were difficult. Young learners in this area tend to have difficulties in understanding a new language. My goal as a bilingual teacher is to be able to help students like me and make their education journey easier.
