About
During all four years of high school, I was a part of the student council club, as I was a representative of my class. During the first two years of high school, I was a part of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), and that second year I was president of NJHS. I lead multiple volunteering activities, including student mentoring and the cleaning and repairing of the school garden. In addition, during my tenth grade year, I also joined the Positive Behavior and Interventions Group (PBIS), as I supported and encouraged positive student behavior. Also, I completed the one-year Scrubs Club program, in association with the Westchester Medical Center and the Catskill Hudson Area Health Education Center (CHAHEC). Within this program, I was able to embark on various medical journies and learn about the different aspects of the medical field. During my eleventh grade year, I graduated into the National Honor Society, where I completed multiple volunteer duties in blood drives for the American Red Cross. For both my eleventh- and twelfth- grade year, I was initiated into the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). My membership into the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society extends two more years at my accredited university: Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. However, during my membership within high school, I participated in the math tutoring program, where I assisted students in the vast field of mathematics. In terms of NSHSS, I have an educational life-long membership, and as of present time, I have participated in one of the many scholarship opportunities within the society. I have received recognition for being one of the top ten leading recipients of the Virtual Valedictorian Speech Scholarship. Furthermore, I became a member of this club, Honor Society (Strength & Honor), during my twelfth grade year in high school, and I will proceed to be an active member throughout college and medical school. I will use my voice to advocate our inclusive society, and I look forward to being involved in the many scholarship opportunities within this society.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I wish to become an internal medicine doctor, or if you will, an internal medicine physician. My ultimate goal is to earn the right to be called Dr. Del Rio, M.D. I look forward to safeguarding society's wellness, and further, as a primary care physician, I wish to build long-
term relationships with my patients and apply my expertise in diagnosis and prevention. Initially, I will practice in an inpatient setting, which typically involves a hospital environment. After years of working within a hospital setting, I wish to apply my practice in an outpatient setting, in hopes of working in a private clinic in the future.- Graduate school interests
After completing my undergraduate, I wish to advance my studies at Albany Medical School for an additional six years. Within these years in Med school, I am going to complete my residency at the Albany Medical Center and complete my Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), in order to acquire my NYS medical practicing license. In addition, I would like to complete a subspecialty in public health, focusing on disease and prevention. I believe that by specializing in public health, it will allow me to focus on underlying conditions from a more empirical and experimental approach. Thus, at the end of Med school, I will earn my practicing license, my doctorate (M.D.), and speciality in public health. I look forward to further advancing my career by working within Albany Medical Center.
- Outside the classroom
I love working! I truly do. I love investing my time in research and allowing for my brain to wander. There are no bounds when it comes to the world of knowledge. In addition, I love to dance and clean. I look forward to joining the dance team at my college, and I can allow myself to be expressive. As for cleaning, indeed I love to clean. I feel that when I have a clean environment, I have a refreshed state of mind. Nonetheless, cleaning allows me to adopt organizational methods within my school work.

To often, I would see young ladies use the restrooms as a place of despair, where tears would overturn confidence. Thus, I used my voice and painted postive messages within the girl's bathrooms, in order to build their confidence and have faith in themselves.
