About
I am a psychology student with a strong desire to pursue a career in mental health and a goal of becoming a child and adolescent psychiatrist. I am actively building my experience through volunteering, behavioral health observation, campus involvement, and leadership opportunities. My experience in hospital and residential behavioral settings has allowed me to learn more about patient care, autism spectrum disorder, and the different roles professionals play in supporting children, adolescents, and their families. In the future, I hope to develop advocacy projects focused on children and adolescents as well as addiction. Through these projects, I hope to raise awareness, provide education, reduce stigma surrounding mental health and addiction, and advocate for individuals and communities who may need additional support. I am committed to continuing my education, serving my community, and gaining meaningful experiences that will prepare me for medical school and a future career in psychiatry.

I plan to attend medical school after completing my undergraduate education and earn a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. My goal is to complete a psychiatry residency followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. I am interested in child and adolescent mental health, behavioral health, autism spectrum disorder, and addiction.

Keating Toyota - C&G Detailing Prepare service, loaner, sold, lot washes, and delivery vehicles for customers. Drive service vehicles through the car wash and clean loaner vehicles by vacuuming interiors, cleaning windows and cup holders, applying tire shine, and completing other vehicle-preparation tasks. Assist with preparing sold vehicles for delivery and help with full-detail services when needed. Maintain attention to detail and cleanliness to ensure vehicles are presentable and ready for customers.

Bayou Wildlife Zoo Greeted guests and provided information about the zoo, available attractions, and what to expect during their visit. Sold admission tickets using the Square POS system, handled cash transactions, and assisted guests with questions before entry. Provided friendly customer service while helping guests understand the experiences and activities the zoo had to offer.

Rotated through multiple departments within a nonprofit facility for children and adolescents ages 6-17 diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Observed the roles and responsibilities of each department and learned how they work together to operate the residential program. Gained exposure to autism-focused residential services, the organization's nonprofit structure, and the interdisciplinary approach used within the facility.

Hospital Volunteer - Surgical Unit & Emergency Department Volunteer across hospital departments, including the Surgical Unit and Emergency Department. Assist with maintaining patient-care areas by restocking blankets, towels, gowns, wipes, snacks, and other supplies. Respond to patient call buttons to identify non-clinical needs and provide requested comfort items when appropriate. Assist with room checks, update door name tags following patient discharge, and dispose of designated paperwork. Gain direct exposure to a diverse patient population while observing hospital operations and the roles of healthcare workers.
