About
As a first-generation college graduate and the oldest daughter in my family, I have always carried a deep sense of responsibility. There have been high expectations placed on me, both from my family and from within, and I’ve used them as motivation to keep pushing forward. I graduated summa cum laude from high school and cum laude from college, where I majored in Biological Sciences with double minors in Chemistry and French Studies on the pre-med track.
One of the most meaningful experiences during my undergraduate years was studying abroad in France. Living there allowed me to fully immerse myself in the language and culture, deepening not only my understanding of French but also my appreciation for the world beyond my own. It was a time of growth, learning, and self-discovery that I carry with me every day. Alongside academics, I stayed active through sports like tennis, track, swimming, and boxing. These activities taught me discipline, focus, and how to keep going when things got hard.
This fall, I will begin my master’s degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio while continuing to prepare for medical school. I am currently studying for the MCAT and learning how to balance a demanding and often hectic schedule. It is not always easy, but I remain grounded in my purpose. Every challenge I face brings me closer to the person I am becoming and the future I am working hard to create - a future where I can serve others through medicine and honor the journey that brought me here.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am deeply committed to pursuing a career in medicine with a special focus on cardiology. After losing my grandpa to a heart-related disease, I felt a powerful calling to help others facing similar struggles. I want to be there for patients and families during their most vulnerable moments, offering care, hope, and support. My greatest hope is to save lives and make a difference for those who need it most, honoring my grandpa’s memory through my work every day.
- Graduate school interests
I’m so grateful to have been accepted into the anatomical science pathway at UT Health San Antonio. This program will give me the chance to really understand the human body in its most basic and beautiful form. I’m excited to learn about how every part of us works together and to see the amazing complexity of life up close. For me, this isn’t just about school - it’s a step closer to becoming a doctor who can truly help and care for others. This journey means a lot because it brings me closer to my dream of making a real difference in people’s lives.
- Outside the classroom
In my free time, I love doing things that keep me active and help me relax. Working out and running stairs give me energy, and I really enjoy walking outside while taking in the beauty of nature as it clears my mind. I also love reading because there is nothing like getting lost in a good book. Cooking is one of my favorite ways to unwind and be creative, especially when I'm trying new recipes or exploring different foods from around the world. I enjoy practicing the piano as well since it brings a sense of calm and focus. Recently, I've been working on improving my French and slowly picking up Portuguese, which has been both fun and rewarding. These hobbies keep me learning, moving, and appreciating the simple moments in life.
