About
Molecular Genetics graduate focused on immunology, microbiology, host-pathogen interactions, and the molecular mechanisms of human disease, particularly infectious disease, cancer biology, neurological disorders, and immune dysregulation.
My training spans molecular and translational laboratory techniques including PCR, molecular cloning, gel electrophoresis, DNA sequencing, RNA extraction, RNA-seq library preparation, immunofluorescent staining, histology, and tissue processing under BSL-2 conditions and established animal research protocols.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Genetic Counseling, Biomedical Research, Research Technician, and Clinical Research, focused on molecular genetics, environmental exposure, and translational biomedical research.
- Graduate school interests
Master’s in Genetics and Bioinformatics, followed by doctoral study in Translational Biomedical Research, with particular interests in molecular biology, immunology, genomics, and the translation of laboratory research into clinical applications. My experience as a patient representative with the Selin Lab at the UMass Chan Medical School, supporting research involving T-cell exhaustion, biomarkers, and clinical trial development, has strengthened my commitment to bridging researchers, clinicians, and patients while exploring how policy and regulatory frameworks can support, rather than limit scientific and clinical innovation.
- Outside the classroom
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking bread and pastries, reading mystery, fiction, scientific and historical nonfiction, self-improvement books, walking, biking, going to the gym, and playing soccer. These hobbies provide balance and offer a creative outlet for managing stress. I also find my advocacy work with ME Action of Northern New England deeply fulfilling, particularly through raising awareness and supporting improvements in care for people living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) and Long Covid.
