Grace Olagunju

Grace Olagunju is a driven graduate student in Molecular Biology at New Mexico State University (NMSU), where she maintains a 4.0 GPA and has demonstrated excellence in research, leadership, and community engagement. She graciously graduated with distinction in biology from the University of Abuja and as the Best student in the department. She has earned awards such as NMSU Graduate Leadership Award and renewed Face of Tech Spring 2025 for herself, and the Laura Bassi Editorial Bursary. Presently, Grace is the Treasurer of the Molecular Biology Graduate Student Organization; she previously assumed the roles of Social Media Officer. Apart from research, Grace has contributed to the scientific community as a Research Assistant in Dr. Jennifer Curtiss's lab and poster presentations at ABRCMS the Quantitative Biology Summer School, lipidomics and entrepreneurship workshops. Her commitment to service is evident in her extensive volunteer work from local cleanups to event moderation and her national service in Nigeria, where she held key positions such as Treasurer and Auditor. Grace’s technical and computational skills have been improved through summer training in scientific computing and imaging, positioning her as a promising emerging scientist with a passion for innovation in STEM
