About

I am currently pursuing a Biology major with a premed track at Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia, maintaining a GPA of 3.71, with an anticipated graduation in May 2027. My academic journey is driven by a passion for healthcare equity, inspired by my experiences as a first-generation American witnessing healthcare disparities in immigrant communities. Alongside my studies, I have gained professional experience as a Customer Service Representative at Bed Bath and Beyond, where I honed my interpersonal skills, and as a STEM mentor with Morrison Mentors, where I developed leadership abilities and a deep understanding of computer hardware, software, gaming, and coding. Additionally, my role at the New Cassel Farmer’s Market enhanced my customer service skills and provided insight into community needs. My leadership roles in Jack and Jill of America and Energia for Teens illustrate my commitment to community engagement and youth mentorship, having served as Secretary, Editor/Historian, Treasurer, and Sergeant of Arms in various capacities.
My dedication to service is evident in my volunteer work with Lisa Williams LNP's medical office, Northwell Health System, and various community initiatives such as the Nassau County Youth Council and Covid-19 response efforts. These experiences have not only provided me with practical skills in patient care and public health advocacy but also fueled my ambition to become a physician who can address healthcare disparities. My extracurricular involvement, including participation in Morehouse Lacrosse, Mentoring in Medicine Workshops, and the S.T.E.P Program at SUNY Old Westbury and Adelphi University, complements my academic and professional pursuits. I have received multiple community service citations from Nassau County Executive and Legislature and hold a Covid-19 Contact Tracer Certificate. Together, these experiences have prepared me to leverage my education and skills to promote healthcare equity and inspire others to make a positive impact in their communities, particularly in addressing cultural, linguistic, and social factors that affect health outcomes.
