About
Throughout my educational journey, I have encountered several detours. The word detour may sound negative, however I like to use it as a way of "it just wasn't meant to go that way". I believe all things happen for a reason.
With that being said, changing my major a couple of times and taking almost two years off from college was, in a sense, supposed to happen. If it had not gone that way, then I wouldn't have found my purpose in this crazy journey we call life.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
After contemplating on what career path to choose, I have decided to work towards a clinical Therapist. While this position requires a master's degree, I intend on working within the education system as a guidance counselor until I earn my master's as a therapist. When becoming a therapist, I plan to apply for a position within the organization I currently work at, Grace Health.
- Graduate school interests
As I stating before, I plan to earn a master's degree in clinical psychology. After accomplishing this, I hope to continue my education in becoming a child's psychologist.
- Outside the classroom
One particular hobby of mine is art. From a very young age, I have always had a passion for painting, drawing, crafting or any other form of art. I was actually entered into the 2014 Kentucky Duck Stamp competition, and placed 4th within the state of Kentucky.
I have also been asked to paint at local churches. When doing this, I paint during the worship part of services.
For me painting/drawing has always been a form of therapy.
Some other hobbies include reading the Bible, camping with family and friends, and traveling.
