Haleigh Vitt
manager at I have worked at Carl’s Jr. for less than a year now and I was promoted to shift manager very quickly. I love the environment there and how well I have been able to get a long with all of my coworkers! Carl’s Jr. has shown me that I work pretty well in very stressful situations and that I can stay calm with frustrated or angry customers.

About
My name is Haleigh Ray Roxanne Vitt, my name was long but I feel like it meshes well when it is said fully. I have lived in Alaska my whole life and I have traveled a decent amount of the east coast with my mother and stepfather. In total, I have five younger siblings all varying in ages. My closest sister, Summer, is the one I get to travel with the most and I view her as one of my best friends. We have experienced many struggles together due to family circumstances. As of right now I am a senior at Chugiak High School getting ready to graduate! I will be attending either UAA or UAF due to my amazing opportunity of free tuition that I will inherit from my stepmother who works for UAA. I have experienced a lot of hardships and struggles starting from a young age. My parents getting a divorce impacted me when I was younger and made me quiet. They fought a lot and I grew up keeping my thoughts to myself. I had to travel between families, my mom moves from state to state on the east coast with my stepfather who is in the military while I live in Alaska. I take care of my younger siblings while juggling school, sports, and a job of my own.

Honors and awards
-
honor roll
I’ve received honor roll for a majority amount of my school years. I’ve received honor roll every year from kindergarten to 8th grade. During and after Covid, which hit in the middle of my 8th grade year, things did begin to slow down for me.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
There are a few job paths I would like to take on, accounting, marketing, and geoscience. They seem different from eachother but I find interest in all of them.
- Outside the classroom
Playing sports, I used to participate in swimming classes, I have played volleyball for 5 years, I am a thrower for shotput and discus in track and field I have come close to winning state for both throwing events but in my earlier years I have won championships for shotput and when I was a part of a relay team I helped lead our team to second in championships. I love hiking around Alaska, Mount Baldy and Bear Mountain are my favorite mountains to hike but other than that I like just simple nature strolls. I have always enjoyed swimming in lakes or rivers, mainly where my cabins are located. I love animals and have had a passion for them since I was little, giraffes are my favorite animals though. I love hanging out with little kids, I have 5 younger siblings of my own and they’re some of my best friends. I love fishing, I can just zone out and enjoy everything around me when I go fishing. I love hanging out with my grandma and doing art projects.

grocery clerk
I worked at Fred Meyers for about 3 months. It was not the most pleasant job, it felt very lonely and I was not told how to do things or what to do, I felt on my own a lot. I was also left alone a lot and I like talking to people so it wasn’t the greatest experience but one I will remember.
