Hallie Smyth

I am a junior at the University of Iowa in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program. I was unsure of what I wanted to do as a life long career, I went through three different majors and ended up with Speech Language Pathology. I knew I wanted to be in the medical field but anyone who knows me, knows that I don't do too well with blood and gory events. I love helping people and giving back to the community. Helping people communicate more effectively through numerous techniques and research is very rewarding. That's how I came up with Speech Language Pathology and now that I am in the program and learning more about it, it is exactly what I want to do. I can help any age group and work closely with other professionals as well.
