About
I was born in Ozark, Alabama in 2003 and lived there until I was eight years old. In the year 2012, my family and I moved to Franklin, NC which was a very small town at the time. There was only about 3.000 people who lived there at the time but it has significantly grown since them. I attended Franklin High School from the years 2018-2022. While in high school, I was in the Marching Band for all four years, in concert band my freshman and sophomore years and symphonic band my junior and senior years. When I was a senior, I received the symphonic award which was given to one senior each year. I was also in Jazz band during my junior year and learned how to play the alto saxophone where normally I would play the flute. My senior year I played the piccolo flute for marching band which is a smaller and much higher pitch version. It was quite the interesting experience to learn new instruments but it was a lot of fun. As you can see, I was a major band kid in high school, but I decided not to continue that into college, despite a lot of my friends joining the Pride of the Mountains marching band at WCU without hesitation. I decided that it was time to move on and start becoming my own person, not just the "band kid." I am in the process of figuring out what it is I am supposed to do, besides playing in a band.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I wish to one day teach children in hopefully the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grades. Ultimately I will teach any age of children because it will be an enriching experience regardless of their age. I hope to give children the opportunity to increase their knowledge by learning new things. There is nothing quite like the feeling that comes as a result of witnessing a spark ignite in a child's brain when a concept finally clicks in their head. Helping young people excel in life is what I aspire to do, and what better to do so than to provide them with one of their first experiences in education.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy doing things like exercising, sewing, crocheting, and reading. I like to exercise because it leaves me feeling accomplished at the end of each session. I usually knit or crochet stuffed animals for children for birthdays or Christmas presents. I enjoy reading books because it allows for some creativity when setting the scenes on the pages, unlike movies that give you no room for imagination.
