About

Each one of my personal, academic, and professional goals can be traced to a core motivation to be helpful to others., and I know that access to education and resources comes with a responsibility to use them in a beneficial way to those around me. I will graduate from the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Program at Western Carolina University in December 2023, and I am eager to use my nursing education to care for my community as an RN. I believe that the person we become in the process of reaching an achievement is of greater importance than the achievement itself, so while I will work to be a successful student and nurse with an extensive resume of certifications and experiences, I will always place more value on how my patients and coworkers would describe me than how I might be portrayed by a list of accomplishments and awards. I hope to be humble, gracious, compassionate, excellent at my job, trustworthy, a good listener, and a strong advocate . I will use my remaining time as a student constructively to grow into this kind of nurse in order to better myself and my community.
