About

I was born and raised in Georgia. I have been involved with theatre since I was about eight years old. I just celebrated my nineteenth anniversary, the anniversary of my kidney transplant. I was twelve years old at the time and my struggles back then have given me a lasting perspective of how precious and awesome life really is. I have always loved learning. I graduated with a BSEd in Theatre Education form Columbus State University and began my career teaching theatre to students. Last summer I began the next leg of my journey by taking the opportunity to begin my graduate studies, again at Columbus State. I look forward to this adventure and the doors it may open. Being a drama director has provided me with lasting skills, not only in the realm of theatre but for use in the real world too; skills such as program coordination, business management, and public relations. I hold a current Georgia Teaching Certificate and I have completed training for BLS/CPR though the American Heart Association. I love to volunteer and remain involved in the Arts community. If all goes well, I plan on completing graduate school by December 2015.
