About
I am Hayley from a small town in Texas. I have been affiliated with organizations such as WIT, FTC Robotics & Scrubs Club which are STEM programs. These programs have helped me realize the passions I have for becoming a nurse.
As a child, I did not have the best parents - so I ended up with my grandparents who raised me from when I was two. Many events in my life have made me care for the left behind and people who do not have the same opportunities as most everyone else. I have helped nonprofits such as our local Boys and Girls Club, Food Pantry, Operation Santa Claus, soup Kitchen known as Martha's Table, and The Hub which helps students get tutoring and anyone to learn English.
I also have started my own book club since our campus did not provide one, participated in extracurricular school activities such as TAFE, Interact, WIT, elected President, Scrubs Club, FTC Robotics, elected captain, Student Council, elected Parliamentarian, FCCLA, UIL for Literary Criticism and Ready Writing. Also I represented our class of 2016 as the Class Secretary.
I plan on providing for my community and pursuing a career in nursing where I can give my all to help people. Given my background and the opportunities I have seized, I have plenty of passion for what I plan to do.

- Outside the classroom
I enjoy participating in FTC Robotics competitions whether it be actual competitors or volunteering to keep the program running. I also enjoy bike riding, hiking, running, and yoga to keep my body in shape; this helps me maintain a clear focus. Also, I love to help the community.
I have established my own fundraisers like a PetPals fundraiser which raised over $2,000 by selling bookmarks for $1 each, and a fundraiser for Suicide Prevention where we took donations. Volunteering is a big hobby of mine. I started by helping our local soup kitchen which used to be called Martha's Kitchen to maintain products and serve the people as they came and went. Then I moved to operations such as Beach Clean Up and Adopt A Highway to maintain a healthier ecosystem. Also, I enjoy helping people through operations such as Boys and Girls Club, the Food Pantry, and Operation Santa Claus - providing what they don't already have.
I also enjoy helping organizations such as PetPals by going to the location where they keep the pets and taking them for walks, feeding them, and playing with them.
