About

As a South Korean, my life has spanned across five countries: fifteen years of my childhood in Kenya, undergraduate studies in the U.S., two years as an educator in Turkey, three years teaching in Malaysia, and now South Korea, where I completed my graduate program. Through my experiences in culturally diverse communities, I have come to one strong belief: the right education can transform individual lives.

Initially, my goal in majoring in education was to inspire the lives of future generations. However, I soon realized that while many dedicated teachers could fulfill this role, my unique global background and diverse experiences positioned me to contribute in ways that were truly irreplaceable. Having lived and worked in several countries, I recognized the potential to create lasting change by developing innovative academic tools and frameworks—a vision that aligned with my broader goals of addressing systemic inequities on an international scale.

Motivated by this realization, I pursued graduate studies at Yonsei University’s International Cooperation(PIC), to explore how political dynamics between countries influence education systems. My studies delved into immigration policies and the steps nations take to address academic disparities, particularly underprivileged communities. My experiences further solidified the commitment to creating inclusive, culturally sensitive educational programs.

After two years at PIC, I recognized a critical gap in my expertise: a deeper understanding of educational leadership and entrepreneurial strategies. This realization led me to strive to attain an educational leadership graduate program, the ideal platforms to bridge this gap. I aim to focus on creating educational platforms that center around innovation, cross-disciplinary learning, and social justice aligns seamlessly with my vision of creating inclusive learning environments. Additionally, by blending theoretical and practical coursework, I would like to be equipped with strategic and organizational skills necessary to bring my vision to life—establishing multinational models and curricula that foster cross-cultural understanding, facilitate language acquisition, and address the specific academic needs of students in accordance with national standards. Through these initiatives, I hope to prepare future generations to thrive in an interconnected world and drive equitable change within education.
