About
I am currently a student at Lamar University and majoring in Biology to become a physical therapist. Since I was little I have always helped people do stuff, but it wasn't until my senior year of high school that I knew I wanted to become a physical therapist. The summer before my senior year I was diagnosed with Undifferentiated sarcoma and battled throughout my senior year with chemotherapy and radiation. During my treatments and doctors appointments, I encountered several different types of careers and it showed me how much people in the medical field help others. I had also taken a few classes in high school over athletic training and anatomy, so after a lot of thought and research I decided to become a physical therapist. I love helping people and I want to help people in a way that will truly matter, whether it's teaching someone to walk again or helping an athlete recover from an injury.
