About

My name is Heidi Hand and I am finishing my last semester at the University of Colorado Denver this Fall 2014. My goal is to earn my Bachelor's in Psychology and two minors in Sociology and History with Honors. So far, I have been able to keep my GPA above 3.7. Prior to attending CU of Denver, I was an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Navy from 2007-2012. I have a high respect and passion for Air Traffic Control and I would like to use my knowledge that I have gained from my Psychology degree to find better methods of training in the ATC field. Therefore, my ultimate goal is to become an I-O Psychologist and devise/provide effective training methods and strategies to help Air Traffic Controllers train better. It may appear to be a far fetched goal, but I do not believe that it is impossible.

Objective: To finish my Bachelor's in Psychology as well as two minors in History and Sociology. Seeking an internship involving Industrial-Organizational Psychology.

Interests: Team development, Leadership development, Instructor strategies/development

Professional highlights: 5pt veteran of the United States Navy, Military experience, supervisory experience, teamwork experience, and leadership experience.
