Helder Mandingo

Hello, I'm Helder Alexandre Mandingo, a sophomore engineering student, currently majoring in Mechanical Engineering at University of Houston (aka UH). My expected graduation date is May 2018, and afterwards, I want to either work in the Manufacturing Industry or in the Oil & Gas industry. In addition, after getting some experience, I will specialize myself either in Robotics or Energy.

I acknowledge that networking and leadership play a big hole at this stage of my life; therefore, I'm member of National Society of Black Engineering (NSBE), Program in Mastering Engineering Studies (PROMES), American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME), IEEE UH Robotics Chapter, and last but not least, I'm the newest member of HonorSociety.Org.

Prior start the undergrad program at UH, I got english training because english is not my first language. Also, I got three years of College pursuing a B.S in Mining Engineering at Agostinho Neto University in Luanda, Angola. Moreover, I worked as a tutor for Analytics Geometry, Calculus I and II, Physics I and II, and I had an internship for 3 months at Odebrecht Mining in Luanda, Angola.

I majored in teaching at high school, and since then, I discovered the passion for teaching. My native language is Portuguese, and I speak and write fluently. Also, I understand some Spanish and Angolan dialect called Kimbundu. I like to play basketball, soccer, and videogames. I enjoy dancing, listening to music, watching movie, keeping up with technologies news, reading, and learning about successful people and successful principles.

In short, that's me. Thanks for reading.
