About
I am a student at California State University of Long Beach. I am majoring in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. I plan to become a novelist or screenwriter. I was drawn to CSU Long Beach because of its opportunity in the Entertainment world, and its drive to offer the best education. Education is a foremost goal in my mind; I am the only one in my family to try and achieve AP and Honor classes through out high school, to be involved in time consuming after school activities, and still maintain a 3.0 GPA. School isn't just about having the right amount of years to graduate to get a better job; it's about the gaining of knowledge, and the opening of doors that comes with this knowledge, and to find other like minded peers. I come from a tiny town in the Central Valley of California; most people can't even point to it on a map. I lived with Agriculture surrounding me, and it was an expected goal to go into Agriculture. When deciding I would not go into the expected major, and instead enter into a more creative field, I received a lot of doubtful stares. Many people in my county never make it to college or only go for a short time before dropping out. That I have decided not only to go to college, but to move at least four hours from my home town and family is a huge step, and I hope it will have a lasting impact of good consequences.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended job path is to work in the entertainment business, whether that be writing a critique or script, I do not mind. my goal is to learn and explore as much as possible to gain as much experience and relationship as I can. I know its a difficult world to work in, but I'd like to explore every avenue that is offered my way. My main goal is to become a novelist and to see my stories be produced nation wide one day.
- Outside the classroom
I have a passion for acting, and though I am not choosing to follow a Career path in the Theatrics; I enjoy being part of the bustle that happens within a Theater family. I enjoy watching movies and critiquing them, I have hopes that my major in Writing might help open doors in that field of work. Any free time after these is dedicated to reading and writing. Writing being easier to fulfill during class time and moments of pause through out the day. Reading is a constant struggle of not having enough time to read the materials I would wish to.
