About
I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) at Walden University while working full-time as a Case Manager with Catholic Charities. My graduate studies have strengthened my understanding of human behavior, trauma-informed care, advocacy, social justice, and ethical practice. Each course has helped me develop the knowledge and skills needed to better serve individuals, families, and communities while preparing me to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Balancing graduate school with a full-time career has been both challenging and rewarding. Although my academic journey has not been without obstacles, I have remained committed to my education and continued moving forward. My dedication to learning, professional growth, and service was recognized through my induction into my university's Honor Society, an achievement that affirmed my commitment to perseverance and academic development.
Professionally, I bring more than ten years of experience in human services. As a Case Manager, I work closely with individuals and families to connect them with essential resources, advocate on their behalf, and help them navigate difficult circumstances. This experience has deepened my passion for social work and reinforced my desire to create lasting, positive change in the lives of others.
Personally, I have faced significant challenges while pursuing my degree, including the loss of both of my parents, financial hardships, and recovering from foot surgery. These experiences have strengthened my resilience, compassion, and determination. Rather than allowing adversity to define me, I have used it as motivation to continue growing both personally and professionally.
