About
I had a foretaste of science and I saw that science was an important factor in the universe. It cut across all human endeavors and fields of study. These findings arouse my curiosity and zeal towards science. I made up my mind to major in Engineering . Although I had lots of obstacles in the past and my transition from being an average student to honors was a roller-coaster, yet I decided to pursue my goal and hide my ego. I sought help from a friend whom helped in molding me to where I am now. He made me understand my learning disposition and taught me several reading skills. Applying these skills made me rose the hall of fame in my school.A sense of responsibility came when I was made the laboratory perfect of my school. I had access to all laboratory equipment and books . I became responsible, hardworking , and was among the people that finished assignments on time. This leadership position came with several tasks because lots of students picked me as their school father and one the duties of a school father was to tutor them on difficult areas in mathematics and other related subjects as well as their overall well being.I was chosen with some few students to represent the school in a mathematics competition. This was a huge task ahead of me. I setup a studying group with two other class mates of mine because more ideas was needed and we could learn from each other. I also drafted a personal reading timetable to manage my time in school and at home. At the end of it all i came second in that competition. The result surprised my teachers and this gave me more confidence in myself.I decided to leave the music club for the Jets club( Junior Engineers and Technology students) in my school to build on myself. I was taught several things in the field of engineering and I was among the few students who built a mini airplane although it couldn't fly due to lack of necessary materials. we undertook several jets projects like making of a reading lamp, a distribution box and an electric bell of which I was the team leader in these projects.I know my goal is within reach, since have surrounded myself with scholars, dream chasers, achievers, believers and positive minded people who will never give up on me. This motivates me and keeps me on track in my studies and what I want to achieve in future.I have a dream of being the new face of engineering in my department and I know God has embedded this gift in me. Although I am an African with several challenges ahead of me, I know I will scale through because success is not tied to the color of my skin
