Hunter Kurek

I am currently an undergraduate at Southeastern Oklahoma University. I came to SOSU for Aviation, although my bank account did not agree with me. So now I am searching for other career paths and I intend to decide on another major by the end of this spring semester. I'm not sure what jobs I can do, but I do know I want to make an impact to the people around me. After doing community service I have this feeling like I made a difference, no matter how small. I understand that some families go through hard times, and I am extremely blessed for everything that I do have and where I come from. I'm from a small farm town, Chillicothe, Texas. I graduated with 11 other classmates and I was valedictorian. Coming from a small town, the school is everything. My mom was the counselor and my step-dad was the head coach. Growing up there was a lot of pressure on me, because my actions could always reflect on to my parents. At the time it sucked, but now I realized that being in that position really shaped me. It helped me stay out of trouble and become the man I am today. I am still seeking my purpose in life but I know that I have a lot to offer this world, I just have to be led into the right direction to figure out what that is.
