About
I have mastered my culinary arts, home finances and general fixes for hardware appliances. Moving to the States has exposed me to experienced that both gave me long lasting life lessons and scars that have shaped my decisions thus far and that will continue to shape my decisions moving forward. Our relationship has been tested before, during and after our move, we would always fight about the smallest things but her anger was never from that small incident, it was from a deeply rooted hate for my father and a complete detachment from our family, she had no one else to help her deal with what she was going through except me but I was no use to her, during this time I was still dealing with the loss of my best friend and a few others from suicide and i would also have depressive episodes wherei shut down and become unresponsive, thankfully after while i found help and started to deal with my emotions better, but my mother didn't follow the same path.
She started being a lot more distant only around for my little brother and when he is taken care of she would leave, leaving me to fend for myself, so i did, i started to teach myself how to cook full course meals for my brother and I and how to fix appliances that were malfunctioning or out right broken. During this time my mother grew more bitter because of her job going as far as switching from site to site because of small incidents, in one of the sites she met someone, someone who is able to calm her to the point of reason and after a while she started to seek professional help, but at that point the damage was done, so with the help of my uncle i was able to work with him as a stock trader in order to earn enough to move out into an apartment. Once i got enough money to pay for an entire year's worth of rent i told my mother that i was leaving but i will be close by, the move was heartbreaking, day and night we got into fights and in some instances it got physical but after what seemed like forever she was okay with me leaving, so i left. At first i was ecstatic, nothing could break this moment, but after a while i started to notice how quiet it got during the night or after school.
I wanted to go back into my mother's arms but i was reminded of the pain i was put through so i endured, during this time i started to manage my finances better and saving for college tuition, it wasn't much but if i could have a couple hundred dollars to spend in college i would rather take it.
For a moment i noticed stability, I didn't know what to make of this filling but i did appreciate myself for coming to point where i wouldn't was waking up in the middle of then night terrified of what the night has to offer. As time moved forward so did my relationship with my mother, she's been getting help since i left and she looked better then she has ever looked and i was happy. We started talking and we decided to open a shop together to help mend our relationship, i didn't want the shop i just wanted my mother back so i immediately agreed, after 6-7 months of planning and executing we opened a shoe store called Connies House of Style, we called it this because her mother used to call Connie and since she died the name was her most precious gift to my mother and loved the idea. My relationship with my mother is still in shambles but i am happy with where we are now and i wouldn't change a thing.
