Goals and interests
- Career goal
With my education in Marriage and Family Therapy and years of experience as a medical assistant, I intend to pursue a career that combines my clinical knowledge and passion for mental health. As a military spouse, I have a unique understanding of the challenges faced by military families, and I plan to specialize in providing therapy and support to this community. My goal is to work as a licensed marriage and family therapist, helping individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, strengthen relationships, and build resilience. I aim to integrate my medical background with my therapy training to provide holistic care that addresses both physical and emotional well-being.
- Graduate school interests
As I work towards my degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, my primary interest lies in building meaningful, lifelong connections and friendships with peers, professors, and professionals in the field. I value the opportunity to collaborate and learn from others' diverse experiences, particularly in the context of supporting military families and individuals facing mental health challenges. My goal is not only to gain clinical expertise but also to foster a supportive network that will continue to inspire and guide me throughout my career. By forming these connections, I hope to create a strong foundation for both personal and professional growth as I pursue my passion for helping others.
- Outside the classroom
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring my creative side through cake decorating and acrylic painting. I also have a deep appreciation for music and the arts. Additionally, I love traveling with my husband, discovering new cultures, and trying diverse cuisines, which allows me to broaden my horizons and enrich my understanding of the world.
