About
My name is Isabel Castro-Martinez. I am a biology/pre-professional major. I am transferring to Texas A&M University to the Biomedical Building. I intend to apply for the veterinary program offered at Texas A&M University. I am currently in the CIMA-LSAMP research program. I am the secretary of an organization called South Texas Amphibian & Reptile Society (STARS). I volunteer with STARS to educate the public about the conservation of amphibians and reptiles.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My plan is to open a veterinarian practice. I also will travel for those who can not come to the office. I plan to set up special days when I will travel to rural areas that do not have veterinarians nears the towns. I plan to learn and practice with exotics, livestock, small animals, and large animals.
- Graduate school interests
My goal is to transfer to Texas A&M University in College Station. I will finish my prerequisites in the Biomedical department. I intend to apply for the veterinary program after I finish my prerequisites.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy drawing, painting, and sewing.
