About

I am Isaiah Gates, a senior at Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Senior High School. I am passionate about pursuing a career in Public Safety, where I can make a meaningful impact on my community. As a compassionate, dedicated, and self-motivated individual, I desire to help others and contribute to a safer, more just society. I see myself as a leader with the potential to inspire change and make a real difference in the world. My parents are Iesha Brown and Cortney Gates, and I’m the grandson of Joe and Maxine Gates, Willie Brown, and Dianne Brown. Acknowledging my ancestors is evidence that I am deeply rooted. I am actively involved in my church, Mount Hermon A.M.E, as a member of the Youth Usher Board, the Young People’s Division, and the Sons of Allen. Also, I am actively involved in the community. I am a participant in the S.T.A.R. T Program and a dedicated volunteer at local community events, such as assisting with back-to-school events and community beautification projects. My interests include listening to old-school music and history, dancing, spending time with family, and exercising. Some would describe me as an old soul due to my love for old-school music. I’m very family-oriented. Another reason why people describe me as an old soul is because of my mannerisms and the way I move, speak, and act when I am around people. I’m a music lover, always constantly looking for and discovering music. A fun fact about me is that on Spotify, they describe me as a time traveler.
