About

I am a semi-retired engineer with BSE, MSE, and PhD degrees in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and an MSE in Aerospace Engineering, all from The University of Michigan. I have returned to college at The University of Rhode Island to pursue a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance. I have decades of musical experience as an amateur violinist, having started lessons at the age of 7 years. I also have some experience as an amateur pianist, and a solid and growing background in music theory, musicology, and other related academic areas. I have composed several works, some which have been performed. I currently participate in multiple orchestras and chamber music activities, including the University of Rhode Island Symphony Orchestra (as Principal Second Violinist), the Salve Regina University/Newport County Orchestra (as Concertmaster), and the Chamber Orchestra of Barrington at St. John's. I am a member of Trio Ignota. I regularly participate in various summer chamber music workshops, including at the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music, and at the Eastman Community Music School at Eastman School of Music. I am available to provide private violin lessons.
