About

I was born in Goiânia, Brazil, and grew up moving from city to city due to my father's work in telecommunications. Constant relocation taught me to adapt quickly and find stability through learning. After the pandemic, my family returned to my hometown, where I dove deep into math, physics, and astronomy. I've earned gold medals in the Brazilian Astronomy Olympiad and became national champion at the Brazilian Rocket Show. In early 2025, my family moved to San Antonio, Texas, where I adapted to a new culture and education system while earning a 5 on AP Physics I. I'm now an FAA-certified drone pilot, fluent in Portuguese, advanced in English and beginner Spanish. I want to study engineering to turn scientific curiosity into real-world solutions, whether through nuclear energy, drones, or sustainable technology.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended job path is to become a nuclear engineer focused on advanced reactor design and clean energy deployment, with an emphasis on bringing reliable power to underserved communities. After earning my bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University, I plan to pursue graduate studies or direct entry into research roles at national laboratories (such as Sandia or Idaho National Laboratory) or in the nuclear energy industry. Ultimately, I aim to work on small modular reactor (SMR) development, nuclear safety, or energy policy, bridging technical research with real-world implementation to promote sustainable development in regions that lack stable electricity access.

Graduate school interests

After completing my bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering at Texas A&M University, I plan to pursue graduate studies focused on advanced nuclear systems, specifically small modular reactors (SMRs) and advanced fuel cycles. I am interested in research that bridges reactor physics, safety analysis, and real-world deployment, particularly how nuclear energy can be scaled and delivered to remote or underserved communities. Programs with strong ties to national laboratories (such as Idaho National Laboratory or Sandia) are especially attractive to me, as I want my graduate research to have direct applications in clean energy access, grid resilience, and sustainable development. Ultimately, I hope my master's or doctoral work contributes to making nuclear power more affordable, safer, and more accessible to regions that need it most.
