About

I have finished my first semester of college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I have declared my major and am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. Academically in my first semester of college, I have achieved a 4.0 grade point average. In high school, I earned High Honor Role status from 2016 to 2020 graduating with a 4.0 grade point average. In addition, I was a member of the National Honor Society from 2018 to 2020. I was chosen to receive the Nebraska School Activities Association Academic All-State Award for Football, One Act, and Track & Field in 2019 and 2020. I received the Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish after earning advanced scores in all categories.

I am an initiated member of FarmHouse Fraternity at Nebraska. I work as a student manager for the University’s Track & Field team and I am a Dance Marathon Morale Captain in college. I am also involved with the FOCUS Greek Executive board and will be involved with NHRI in this upcoming semester. I was involved in fourteen different activities my senior year of high school in fine arts, sports, clubs, and various groups. I was elected or asked to serve leadership roles in the following positions: Future Business Leaders of America President, Teens for Life President, Mayor’s Youth Council, Mentoring Works, Hastings Catholic Schools’ Unity Board, and Team Captain for the Football and Track & Field teams. I also accumulated over eight-hundred and fifty hours of community service from 2016 to 2020 through Camp Kateri Tekakwitha Summer Camp Counselor, Christ in the City volunteer in Denver, Colorado, Adams County Fair stage set up and tear down, Totus Tuus Bible School Volunteer, and many other organizations.

In May of 2020, I received the First Lieutenant Kevin Gaspers Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to one senior at each of the three schools in Hastings, Nebraska. The student awarded the scholarship is elected by the faculty and staff based on their good moral character, selflessness, and is given to someone who goes “over and above what others think and do”, similar to the late First Lieutenant Kevin Gaspers. Additionally, I also received the Jim Biglin Sportsmanship Award in May of 2020. This award is given to one male and one female senior athlete based on their athletic sportsmanship and achievements in high school sports.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend to work as an intern for several different construction companies while in college, including co-ops and local companies. I plan to work for an established commercial construction company after college as a Construction Manger. Finally, I hope to open my own residential construction firm where we will create unique homes for each customer.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy being involved with as many activities as possible. I enjoy music and can play piano, ukulele, guitar, saxophone, drums, and the harmonica. I play all sports that are available to me and hope to be on the University's track team competing in pole vault. The outdoors is the greatest place to do anything from camping, fishing, hiking, biking, sports, sitting, or any other outdoor activity.
