About
My major is industrial product design, and my minor is Japanese. I hope to work abroad someone day perhaps teach English as a second language in Japan.
I am the son in a single-parent household. My father passed away when I was 13,and my mother works for a non-profit. I am a good student, active in my community and when I am home my church. I have worked every summer to help pay my college expenses, but money is always a major concern. In addition to my tuition, fees, living expenses, books, I am consistently required to purchase at my own expense materials and art supplies for my school projects. Any assistance would be of great help.
Thanks!

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to intern with a toy or other manufacturing company and go into the field of product design. As part of my program, I hope to study abroad and help support myself by teaching English as a second language in Japan. Should I be fortunate enough to be successful in my field, I would like to develop and build a toy manufacturing plant in my home state of NC, thus bringing jobs to the area.
- Graduate school interests
Should graduate school become a real possibility after I have worked a few years to pay off my undergraduate loans, I would hope to attend graduate school and add business management to my repertoire of skills, as well as advanced study in product design. Perhaps I might also look into teaching credentials.
