About

My focus is on energy research and analysis — specific to socially vulnerable communities. As an user-interface designer and now as an energy equity scholar, I have 20+ years of experience conducting research, leading creative projects, and producing visual materials. My signature trait is an ability to distill and explain complex information to others. I am skilled in scholarly research, writing, data analysis, mapping (GIS), and graphic design. I am personally dedicated to finding lasting solutions to clean energy for all, to ensure that people living in or near poverty participate and benefit in the energy transition.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I want to be relied upon for evidence-based, non-partisan research and analysis to address energy affordability, access, and inclusion through cleaner energy deployment, infrastructure investments, and community self-determination. I am ambitious about breaking the cycle of energy insecurity and systemic inequities. My academic pursuits at the LBJ School are part of this journey.

Graduate school interests

My research focuses on the effectiveness of public institutions in advancing a more just and equitable energy system. Because of the human impact of this type of research, it is critical to follow high standards of ethics, accuracy, and population representation. Therefore, I pursued a Ph.D. at the LBJ School of Public Affairs to strengthen the integrity of my research and analysis to make more significant and far-reaching contributions to addressing energy insecurity and inequities across Texas, the nation, and the world.
