Jada Coles

My name is Jada Coles and I am planning to attend Clark Atlanta University for the 2016 fall semester. I graduated from Salem High School, which is in Virginia beach, Virginia where I currently reside. During my time there I became more open and very involved. I was in an internship program that allowed me to travel to multiple elementary and middle schools in order to get a better look at what it takes to be a teacher. I loved it and gained great connections with kids and teachers. I also ran track for four years, dedicating two hours a day, five days a week to bettering myself and abilities. I would then leave practice and go straight to work at Firehouse subs. I worked five to nine but made sure I had time to complete my school work. Two summers ago I volunteered at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, helping wherever I could and making sure everything was running smoothly. Unfortunately, I have not been able to continue volunteering the past few summers due to a summer job. I am currently a life guard at neighborhood pools and have been for two years now. I love what I do and being able to interact with families and children's brightens my day!
