Jade Tilley

I am currently a psychology major at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. I plan on being a counselor and getting my masters degree for it. I grew up in Bakersfield, California as part of a divorced family with four siblings. I have always been school driven and a dedicated worker. During my freshman year of college I participated in a research program for alienated parents. My mother was a social worker and being admirer of her work lead me to my love of psychology. I have a love for children and plan to be a foster mom when I am older. I am a very active person, playing soccer for eight years, hiking, swimming, etc. I am also very music oriented taking violin lessons for a year and piano lessons for two years. I have done choir for five years, and practice my scales on a regular basis. I also am very creative and take a multitude of projects involving art, things like painting, drawling, writing, etc. I find myself well rounded and desire to continue to strive to be better. Right now I am applying for an internship and a mentor program of at risk youth.
